How do you select the materials to use in class? Do you adapt them?

Most of the times, I just go through materials I consider interesting for my students (intermediate-upper intermediate) so that they feel the "urge" to read/listen to the text. Sometimes, this approach is a bit too demanding for weak groups but I guess the more interesting the topic for them, the better they work on it
