Getting America's Students Ready for the 21st Century - Meeting the Technology Literacy Challenge, A Report to the Nation on Technology and Education, June 29, 1996
Este informe de 1996 reflejaba la ambiciosa idea de Bill Clinton de informatizar la educación con 4 objetivos principales:
- Que todos los estudiantes tuvieran acceso a ordenadores o equivalentes
- Que todas las escuelas pudieran conectarse entre si
- Que el software educativo se convirtiera en parte integral del curriculum
- Que los profesores estuvieran preparados y dispuestos a usar estas tecnologías y enseñan a su través.
Los dos últimos objetivos todavía no se han cumplido.
